Broadway Santa!

Last night we had our first musical! The kids had so much fun and were so cute up on the stage. There were a few mishaps...sound issues, students singing too fast or off key, but all in all, it was a successful evening! We had a packed house, the audience laughed and cheered at the right moments, and the parents were happy to see their kids on stage. I'll miss seeing my drama kids so often after rehearsing with them almost daily!

Here are a few photos from the night!

Here I am, waiting to start speaking to the crowd (and wearing my new dress).

My fabulous co-directors...Kathleen and Traci. They were fantastic to work with! I would definitely direct with them again.

Here they are, doing there best to do a kick line. :) In the words of my southerner friends..."bless their hearts."

Standing in front of our fantastic venue with a bouquet of roses. The "Gem Theater" is an old theater from the 1930's. It even has a balcony! It used to be a theater for acting, but is now a movie theater. They moved the screen back for us and were so accommodating with all of our needs.

Merry Christmas everyone!!
